About the event

We invite you to set aside time to pause and connect. This gathering is designed for Black male attorneys, judges, and retired attorneys to step away from the billable hour, consulting, and daily demands of the profession and focus on well-being, community, and connection.


This session will include a 1-hour Mental Health CLE presented by Jon Tynjala of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers, followed by an informal, facilitated discussion led by a MABL member. The CLE will explore how isolation and loneliness show up in legal practice and their connection to mental health challenges that disproportionately affect lawyers, particularly Black men in the profession. The discussion portion is intentionally designed as a candid, judgment-free space, with no pressure, no expectations, and no formal agenda beyond connection.
