Community Forum
MABL will join with a local organization dedicated to the community, to sponsor a public forum on a legal topic of interest. Potential topics that will be covered will include the expungement process for criminal violations, qualifying convictions, housing, immigration, and credit issues.
New Lawyers Packet
MABL is putting together a packet that lawyers who are new to the practice, or new to town will receive. It will contain contact information for the local legal organizations, information about MABL, and other topics that would be of interest to this audience.
Publicity Committee
“So what’s MABL up to these days?” If you have ever asked, this is your opportunity to take action in answering that question. The publicity committee reaches out to other minority professional organizations to partner in certain initiatives, and promotes MABL’s activities, both within the legal community and the community at large. Do you want to network or do you have a passion for writing? MABL wants to hear from you.
Third Thursdays
On the Third Thursday of ALMOST every month, MABL has an informal happy hour at different establishments around the Twin Cities. This gives lawyers an opportunity to get out of the office, let our hair down, meet each other, and get to know one another better. Invitations and announcements for Third Thursdays are issued via email, and posted on this Web site.
